1. We celebrated our 6th anniversary the 15th of September and I can't believe it has been that long already!! We have learned so much about each other and I am so happy that I married him, he is the most amazing man ever. He is always there for me when I am having a hard day or having a rough time with stuff going on in our lives (which seems to be more than normal the last few months...). He is such an encouragement and is truly my best friend, I love him so much!!!!
2. Jimmy turned 30 on September 22. He had to work that day, so I didn't plan anything for us to do. However, when he walked in the door at 1:00, I thought, "oh, we can do something!" I called all the family and Pastor Woody and we all met at David's Catfish for a surprise birthday dinner :-)
3. We finally were able to buy a SUV. Not just any SUV but the one I've always wanted! It is so nice not to have the 3 kids squished in the back seat anymore and have room to take our friends places. I am sooo happy with it and am so excited when I get into it and drive :-D
4. Jimmy got a job promotion at work that we have praying about for 2 years. He had to go through a written test, a field test and is now working through a 15 day "probation" period. We are super super excited about it and extremely thankful that he finally got it!!
5. Alexia is enjoying school and is doing really well. She had her 4 year check up the other day (yes, very late...) and the doctor said she looks amazing and is very healthy! So proud of her and the amount of things she is learning and doing. I can't believe she is already 4 1/2!!
6. Makenna is doing amazing too! She kind of got to a stand still in potty training but I don't think we'll have a problem getting back into it. She is still our emotional little basket case, but such is life. We are slowly learning how to deal with it and we both think she is doing a little better as of this moment. She is still a funny little girl who makes us laugh at the cute things she says :-)
7. Brennan just had his check up too and is 20 pounds!! Doc said he looks healthy and is growing well :-) He is moving around the house like crazy and is such a happy little guy. I am so thankful that once he got over his reflux problems he has just been so happy. He is standing up like a pro, crawling all over the place and is eating all kinds of yummy table foods. He just got his second tooth in yesterday so now its even easier to chew. Little guy makes us so happy!!
8. We took our family vacation this year out to Bear Lake and camped for a week. 3 days of it was our church's family camp and the speaker was amazing! I learned so much and really had a good time but will be doing another post just on that because I have so many pictures :-)
9. The last two days of camp and this entire last week, we have had the joy of the stomach bug making it rounds through our house :-( Thankfully, as I write this, everyone seems to be doing ok. Soooo glad that's over!
So, not too much happened in the last month. Just living our amazing life, going on family bike rides, playing outside in the amazing weather, going to story time at our local library once a week and then going to the park and eating lunch with Aunt Ashley who is down here until February, trying to do more as a family and getting projects done around the house. We might be busy, but I like it that way. It doesn't leave Satan time to get me down!
Hope you guys are having an awesome week!
