Life has been busy around the Jackson house the last few weeks, but when isn't it?! :-) We try to keep ourselves busy and are fairly successful at it. Of course, we don't always do BIG things but going to the park, the library, out shopping etc are fun and keep us busy. Here are the BIG things we've been doing the last few weeks...
May 16th DISNEY ON ICE
We have a local AM radio station here and they do A LOT of giveaways! (Last Thanksgiving I won a 15 lb turkey!) On this day, I was browsing through FB and saw they were asking a question and the winner would receive 4 tickets to Disney on Ice in Pensacola. I clicked on it and saw that a lady had already answered, but decided I would answer it too.. just because. And boy am I glad I did!! She ended up telling me a few hours later that she wasn't gonna be here for the dates the show was here so I could have them!! The radio station contacted me and said I could come pick them up! Whoo hooo!! I knew Jimmy wouldn't want to go with me and an adult ticket was only $20. I called my really good friend Becky and asked if her and her 2 girls would be interested in going that night with me and my girls. She said they would be thrilled and the girls had been begging her to take them! So off we went!!!
we were super close :-D
all excited!!!!
Kenna wasn't heavy enough and the chair kept folding up on her, HAHA
Kenna pretty much stood like this the rest of the time, lol
Mickey Mouse
Alice in Wonderland
Peter Pan
Halftime! We went and got popcorn, soft pretzels and Pepsi's
The Lion King
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Aladdin
The Little Mermaid
Tangled
All of the Princes and Princesses
I took several video's, but figured I would only upload 1 :-) This was at the very end when they all came out.
(excuse the shakiness, I am no pro, lol)
May 17th BRAVES GAME
For fathers day this year, we decided to take Bro. Jackson to a Braves game. He has always liked them but has never been to one. We had gone to Foley a few weeks ago and bought all of us Braves shirts so we would be "in the spirit." We went and picked him up and were on the road!

snack time!!!
Georgia :-)
We were going to be an hour early and then this happened...
there was a really bad wreck 6 miles from the field and we waited in traffic for a good 45 min or so
Atlanta :-D
Finally here!! We were super excited and had 10 min or so until the game started
then this happened... the lines for parking were absolutely TERRIBLE!! If you happen to ever go to a game, leave many many hours early, not just 2 :-/
We finally got parked.. an hour and a half into the game....
Top of the 4th inning and yes we were THAT close, 7 rows up!
I got to witness a grand slam in person, pretty cool :-D
Aaaand it started to rain at the end of the game
Bro. Jackson had an extra rain coat that he let me borrow, so I didn't get wet at all
Covering the field after the game, it started raining harder
Jimmy's best friend throughout his life, Matt, was there and we were so happy to see him! We got to spend the fireworks show with him and get a few pics
Fun!
:-)
I was able to get the last play of the game on camera :-) BRAVES WIN!!
(once again, I'm not professional, excuse the quality)
We drove back home after the game and got into town at 5:30 am Saturday, slept in until 10 and then got ready for Lexi's party that afternoon!
Whew!!
May 18th ALEXIA'S 5TH BIRTHDAY PARTY
Alexia turned 5 on May 1st, but we couldn't get her party in until a few weeks later. We had an ice cream party and it went over very well! It was a lot of fun :-D
I made her invitations from an idea I saw on Pinterest
it took a while, but I had fun making them!
party favors were just pink bags for the girls and green bags for the boys filled with candy. I bought these circle tags and a thank you stamp and added them on
The cone headband was also an idea I got from Pinterest
I bought those $1 plastic tablecloths from Party City and hung them on the walls
Ice cream toppings table
Birthday banner... another idea from Pinterest, lol
mini cupcakes and lemonade table
She loved her hat
James and Anna
Lily bug
Lexi and Anna hangin' out together
little "birthday cake"
Mmmmm, ice cream time!!
opening gifts from amazing people
Jason and Brennan being goofy
Lexi got a playpen for her baby doll and this is how Brennan decided it should be used, HAHA
She keeps it beside her bed :-)
She also got a little toaster and the next morning when I was making toast, she ran to her room and got it so she could make toast with me :-D
Thank you all for coming and making her party fun!!
That's all for now! I'll have to finish the rest later, gotta make some lunch!
