Our church gave out some money this year to some of the shoppers. We all got a number when we got on the bus, I was 16. Then, when we were all ready to go, Pastor Woody came on and called off several numbers. (I was secretly praying mine would get called. I had no money to spend on the trip and was just going to get out of the house and have a good time with friends.) When the 4th number was called, I couldn't believe my ears, "16!" I let out a squeal of "really?!" and jumped up to receive my $20. I was so excited, I teared up a little bit. I know you might say, "it wasn't much, just $20." But to a girl who had nothing, $20 was alot!! I can't tell you how many times God had provided for us in small ways like this and in very large ways. So, when we got off the bus, I was on my way!!
My first deal of the day was my ear piercing. For those that don't know, I got my ears pierced in January and my left ear hole was seriously uneven from my right. I went in to our Claire's in Pensacola and basically the lady talked me out of getting them redone, saying they were in a straight line when you looked at me from the front. So, I decided not to worry about it, and keep it. WELL, the more I looked at it and changed my earrings, the more I hated it, so I called them. They told me to take the earring out and wait for a week then come back in and have it redone for $25 ish. I decided that's what I was going to do, and took it out Tuesday night, (btw, I looked like a retard with only one earring in!) Today, I noticed they had a Claire's Outlet store, so of course I jumped at the opportunity to buy some earrings for really cheap. (I love the earrings at Claire's) When I got to the register, I decided to explain what was going on and asked if she could look at it for me, and see how far up the new hole was going to be. She was appalled and said, "WHAT!? They were going to make you pay for it?? And what is this about waiting a week, your hole will close up within 24 hours. Besides, the new hole is going to be far enough above it, you really don’t have to worry about it." She proceeded to call her manager and explain the situation... I got it done for free!! I have to say, I was extremely excited about getting it done. I am amazed at how uneven it really was. See for yourself! You might have to get a little closer to the screen :-)
Can you see it... pretty sad it was that off!! I am sooo excited!
My next amazing thing was the earrings. I picked out a pair that were $7, but they were really pretty, so I decided to get them. I asked if I could use my 20% off coupon and she said, "no, they rang up for $1.07." SAY WHAT!? That whole rack was marked down to $1.... wow, no kidding? So needless to say, I went and got a few more, Here they are! I took a gamble on the 2 large hoop earrings, don’t know if I'll like wearing them, but they were $1, lol.
My last very exciting find was Jimmy's cologne. I bought him some last year when we went on the Destin trip, and it was a small bottle and only lasted 5 months or so. I REALLY wanted to get him some more, because it smells A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!! So out of the 4 fragrance outlet stores they had, I found it at the second store. It was a bigger bottle (double the size) AND it was buy one get one free, along with, I think, 20% off!!!!!! I was super excited! Soooo, I got $110 worth of Andy Roddick cologne for $37 :-D Thanks mom-in-law for loaning me the money :-) I couldn't believe it, I was thrilled to death.
What an amazing day this turned out to be! Now, the girls are in bed and I am sitting on the couch with my very sore feet propped up on the chair typing this post. I am going to sleep very well tonight! I had a very good time on this trip. I ran out of money at 2:00, and we weren't supposed to meet at the bus until 5:30... So, I sat in the food court for an hour and then decided enough was enough. I called my friend Janine and asked if she minded me tagging along with her. Of course she said yes. I was happy to watch her get some good deals too, like the $80 shirt for $6 :-D
Well, I guess this is all. This is the longest post I have ever written, Btw, my mom-in-law bought the girls the CUTEST bathing suits and Easter dresses, I can't wait till they wear them!
Goodnight my few faithful followers....
My favorite parts of the day... ear pierced and Jimmy's cologne :-D

I definitely know what you mean about the $20! You have no idea what it takes for a 13-year-old to earn money! I had a recent cash flow from raking a yard, but that's the first money I've had in months! I don't like taking money out of the bank, I'm trying to save for a car, etc. for when I'm older.
