This morning I was on my way to Pensacola with my dad and kiddo's to buy Jimmy's Christmas present and was super super excited!!!! However, I ended up being in my first car accident, well, the first one where I was driving anyway. I came down the exit ramp on the Interstate and stopped at the end to wait for the traffic to pass. I looked in my rear view mirror and here came this grey car super fast and slammed right into me! I had no time to get out the way and even if I did have time, there was a bunch of traffic coming. I just had to let it happen. We pulled off the road and went through an hour of waiting for the police to show up. During that time I called my insurance company and talked with them for a while and got stuff squared away. Thankfully, we opted for filing a claim through the girls' insurance company and will supposedly get our bumper fixed for free and get a rental for no charge while it is in the shop. Sweet! We will see how that works out though, you know how insurance companies are... So, here a a few pics of the damage...

just a little crack and a few scratches on the bumper of my truck...
there was a dent here when we bought the truck so I honestly couldn't tell the officer whether or not there was any new scratches. He decided that the top dent and scratches were from the accident.
her car had a large dent, lots of black scratches, and her head light cracked
as well as a long line of black down the front panel...
Thank the Lord it wasn't bad at all and no one was hurt! I had my dad and all 3 kids with me, so I am extremely thankful for His protection! I am also thankful for a big SUV and full coverage insurance, I knew I wanted an SUV for more reasons then just the room :-D
So how did we end this event? Getting in my truck and it being completely dead! The officer laughed and said it would be $20 for a jump, then said he was just kidding. :-) He jumped us off and away we went to buy Jimmy's Christmas gift!!!!
Drive safely everyone!!

Wow, car accidents are scary, even if you're not seriously hurt! I'm so glad everyone was safe.
