YOUNG MARRIEDS OUTING...
The beginning of November, we had a young marrieds outing. It actually only ended up being us and our good friends Jason and Becky. We tried a new restaurant called The Rodizio Grill. O MY WORD, that place was absolutely amazing!!! It wasn't like any other place we had ever been too. They had no menu to order from which we thought at first was weird. But as we learned, you can go to the salad bar (which was much more than just salad) and have the "full Rodizio." What's that you ask? Simply awesome. The waiters come around one at a time with different kinds of meat on huge skewers and slice you off a portion if you want it. It was probably the coolest place I've been too, and we were all so full and happy we decided to try it. I wouldn't recommend going though unless your church is paying a portion like ours did. Why? It is $35 a plate... but soooooo worth it!
After we ate, more friends, Jeremy and Rachel were able to join us for some bowling. Oooo the memories that were made, lol. We had so much fun!!
SOUFFLE
One night when Jimmy stayed home with one of the the kids and I went to church, I came back to him standing over the stove with a recipe and saying he was making something special for me. Now, if you truly know anything about Jimmy, you would know these were scary words, lol. However, the chocolate souffle he made was utterly divine!!!
We shared it off course ♥ Good job babe!!!
VETERANS DAY PARADE
Sad to say, this was our first year going to the Milton Veterans Day parade. I was so ashamed at the lack of people there, and decided we will be going every single year they have it. It was tear jerking to see all those men and women who had fought for us and wave and yell thank you to them. What a day that was! We met up with a friend and her little boy and then all went on a bike ride on the bike trail, we had so much fun :-)
eating their McDonald's hash browns :-)
I LOVE our truck! This is 2 adult bicycles, Lexi's little bike and a bike trailer
this is what we ran into at the end of our ride. We only got rained on for 5 minutes, but it was a blast, for real!
PARK DAY
I met up with 2 of my friends and their kids at the park one day and Stephanie took these few pics of the kids, I love them!!
DIY NECKLACE HOLDER
I saw a tutorial on Pinterest for a necklace holder that I really liked and since I needed one and had all the materials, I made it!
take a cheap picture frame
and paint it whatever color you want. I chose black, obviously.
Screw in those little hook looking screws. It is MUCH harder than they made it look!!
Hang your necklaces on it and hang it on the wall!
I probably should have done it the other way, so the necklaces would fit, but oh well. I will probably make another one anyway, just vertical.
CLOWN SUNDAY
Our bus captain had a mini contest on the bus and one of the Sundays was clown Sunday. I dressed Lexi as a clown, well as best as I could with what she had, and painted her face. I personally think she was absolutely adorable! The lady clown in the picture is a good friend, Mrs. Herrin. She is a worker on the bus and looked sooooo cool :-)
FAMILY DAY
One Saturday we headed to Chick fil A for lunch as a family then headed to Pensacola to pick up some popcorn for the bus contest the next day. The Popcorn King has TONS of flavored popcorn and it is super cheap!! We decided to try 4 different flavors. I picked pizza, Jimmy picked coconut, Alexia chose Blueberry and Kenna wanted watermelon. O MY WORD, was all of it amazing!!! Soooo yummy! We will definitely be going back and trying some more flavors. I LOVE spending Saturdays out as a family ♥
The big bag was caramel for the bus kids.
From left to right are, watermelon, blueberry, coconut and pizza.
